INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

If you are installing from CD:
Insert the CD into the CDROM drive on your computer. Then either open the CD drive using Windows Explorer and double click on setup.exe or else click on Start/Run and enter X:setup.exe (where X: is the drive letter of your CDROM)

If you are installing from a ZIP file:
Extract all the files into the required folder. The recommended folder is
C:\Program Files\scrutelle

It is recommended that you create a data directory separate to the program directory, for example C:\scrutelle This will avoid getting program and data files muddled up

scrutelle help is provided via your browser. The default browser is Internet Explorer and is assumed to be in folder
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer
If this is not the case, then you should modify file scrutelle.ini which you will find in the same folder as scrutelle.exe

You will then be able to view the help files by clicking on the help button within scrutelle

If you want to place a shortcut icon for scrutelle onto your desktop, there are a number of ways of doing this. One is as follows:

Using Windows Explorer go to C:\Program Files\scrutelle
Right click on scrutelle.exe
Select Create Shortcut
Select the new shortcut file with your mouse and drag it onto the Desktop
Right Click the new Desktop Icon and select Rename
Rename the Icon to Scrutelle
